The honeybee is the only insect that produces food eaten by humans. It can fly over 10km and as fast as 28km/hr on an empty stomach or 17km/hr on a full stomach. It visits 50-100 flowers during a collection trip and makes a quarter of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime.
